How Should I Store Shutters to Prevent Damage?
Proper storage is essential to maintaining the quality of your shutters and preventing damage before installation. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in damage that is not covered under our warranty.
Store Upright, Not Flat
To avoid warping, indentations, or pressure damage, always store shutters upright rather than laying them flat. Storing them flat for prolonged periods can lead to structural issues and potential paint damage, such as chipping, cracking, or uneven wear.
Use Foam Sheets for Protection
Place foam sheets between each shutter to prevent scratches and pressure marks. This added layer of protection helps maintain their condition.
Avoid Keeping Shutters in Their Original Packaging
While shutters are securely packaged for shipping, we do not recommend leaving them stored in their original packaging for extended periods. The weight of the packaging materials and shutters laying on top of one another can cause indentations or pressure marks over time.
Any damage resulting from improper storage will not be covered under our warranty. For full warranty details, please visit our Warranty Page.
